The Clean & Safe Stamp, introduced in 2020 by Turismo de Portugal, acknowledges companies and leisure activities adhering to health safety recommendations from the National Tourist Authority. This aligns with National Health Authority guidelines to prevent covid-19 contagion risks. In 2021, a partnership with Nova Medical School led to adapting stamp requirements according to evolving pandemic situations and Covid-19 knowledge.
The 2022 version of the Clean & Safe Stamp maintains its health focus, promoting hygiene and sanitation while accommodating the current Covid-19 phase. Additionally, it extends to address broader public health crises and safety aspects for tourists, including vulnerabilities and risks tied to various experiences across the country.
