Why this Tour

It is on the rim of a lake inside of a volcano crater that you will find our activity center.

From there, you can rent kayaks, bikes, and stand-up paddles to enjoy the beautiful natural setting of Sete Cidades.

Choose a kayak if you don’t want to get wet and if you are with children. For more challenges, the stand-up paddleboard is perfect. Try yoga poses on the water, without falling!

How to go to Sete Cidades? +

The best way is to rent a car and go by yourself. However, we can offer a transfer from and to Ponta Delgada. Also, there are some buses from Ponta Delgada. More information in the tourist office.

Is Sete Cidades a good place for Kayaking & SUP? +

Sete Cidades Lake is a beautiful location to paddle, in addition to being an easy place to start due to the small or no waves at all.

Are the stand up paddle boards stable? +

Stand Up Paddles are less stable than kayaks. It is more likely that you will fall into the water. However, some people manage to stay on the board for the whole trip.

Do I have to wear the life jacket even if I know how to swim? +

Yes, life jackets are mandatory for everyone for safety reasons.

Cancellations up to 48 hours before the tour, no penalties are applied
Cancellations up to 24 hours: 50% of the total amount will be charged
Cancellations less than 24 hours or no-show: full amount will be charged
If the weather conditions do not allow the activity to be done safely, we will cancel it and contact you to suggest an alternative date or provide a full refund.
