Su cuerpo aerodin\u00e1mico le permite alcanzar velocidades de crucero de 30 km\/h, probablemente el ritmo sostenido m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido entre las ballenas barbadas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-fastest-toothed-whales\">Las ballenas dentadas m\u00e1s r\u00e1pidas<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A diferencia de las ballenas barbadas, que se alimentan por filtraci\u00f3n de grandes y densos grupos de presas peque\u00f1as, como el krill, las ballenas dentadas cazan su alimento, normalmente una presa cada vez. Es una de las especies de mam\u00edferos marinos m\u00e1s estudiadas, y la bibliograf\u00eda sugiere que estos animales navegan a velocidades que oscilan entre 6 y 20 km\/h.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/futurismo.pt\/species\/orca-killer-whale\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Orca<\/a>: Depredador supremo del oc\u00e9ano, esta especie de la familia de los delfines puede alcanzar velocidades de hasta 55 km\/h. Su anatom\u00eda le permite verdaderamente cazar. Aunque se desplazan a 5-10 km\/h, estos implacables animales pueden alcanzar los 45 km\/h cuando persiguen a sus presas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Marsopa de Dall - Este animal, muy aficionado a la navegaci\u00f3n de proa, puede alcanzar r\u00e1fagas de unos 55 km\/h, con velocidades sostenidas de hasta 20 km\/h cuando cabalga sobre las olas de presi\u00f3n formadas por las embarcaciones.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-whales-maximum-swimming-speed-compared-with-other-marine-animals\">Velocidad m\u00e1xima de nataci\u00f3n de las ballenas en comparaci\u00f3n con otros animales marinos<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Mucha gente supone que los peces se adaptan mejor a las altas velocidades porque evolucionaron totalmente bajo el agua. Aunque art\u00edculos no cient\u00edficos afirman que los peces superan a las ballenas, los lectores deben interpretar esta idea con cautela. De hecho, existe un l\u00edmite te\u00f3rico superior para las velocidades de los animales marinos debido a un fen\u00f3meno conocido como cavitaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La literatura sugiere que las velocidades superiores a 55 km\/h pueden causar la formaci\u00f3n de burbujas de vapor, las cuales, al colapsar, pueden causar da\u00f1os duraderos en las aletas de los animales. Esto contradice las pruebas te\u00f3ricas modernas y las mediciones m\u00e1s recientes de la velocidad de estas (y otras) especies de peces, que no superan los 55 km\/h.
