Responsible travel statement

As clearly stated in our Responsible Travel statement, we do believe that tourism is a force for good and that travel is a privilege. Hiking, nevertheless, deserves its own Conduct Code as we are immersing in wild and natural areas and, hence, we should double our efforts.

Everyone wants to enjoy the outdoors in a safe, pleasant and clean way. It is up to all of us to make it possible.

We hope you may follow these rules even alone, but when hiking with us, we observe and ask you to observe, the following rules:

Embrace Your Guide's Directions

Follow your guide´s indications at all times.

Comply with Regulations: Trust & Ask!

Be informed about appropriate regulations to comply with. Ask us if necessary.

Safety First: Plan, Prepare, Ask!

Plan and prepare yourself ahead about the terrain, weather and safety. Ask us if necessary.

Respect Nature: Leave No Trace

Always take care of your garbage. Leave nothing behind.

Vigilant Care: Avoid Fire Hazards

Be extremely watchful with fire, cigarettes and any source that can cause problems.

Protect Nature

Do not pick plants.

Kindness to Wildlife: No Harassment

Don´t harass animals.

Boundaries and Privacy

Respect private property and the privacy of locals.

Mindful Volume with Fellow Hikers

Do not scream or talk quite loud in the presence of other hikers.

Preserve Signage: Show Respect

Respect and preserve all the signage.

Follow Guide's Lead

Do not walk alone or fall behind or ahead despite your guide´s indications and never lose visual contact with the group.

Trail Issues? Speak Up, Ask Us

Take note and communicate problems in the trails. Ask us if necessary.

Trail Info Matters: Verify, Ask Us

Be sure to have the correct information on the trail distance and difficulty. Ask us if necessary.

BYO Snacks & Water: Stay Hydrated Sustainably.

If not provided by us, dully confirmed, take your own water and snacks. Use a reusable water bottle.

Dress Smart: Suitable Attire & Shoes.

Use appropriate clothes and shoes. Ask us if necessary.

Phone for Emergencies: Silent & Considerate

Take your phone for emergencies. But have it silent or vibrating not to disturb others.

Rest Responsibly: Ask Guide, Yield to Others

If you want to rest a little, ask your guide and clear the path for other hikers outside of our group.

Nature's Call: Plan Ahead, Respect Surroundings

Go to the bathroom before the hike or in appropriate places, if they exist. Avoid “going wild”.

Be an active guardian!

Demand justice and responsibility. Despite being on vacation, take your time to
report bad environmental attitudes, injustice, exploitation or discrimination.
