Paddling is a relaxing way to experience Sete Cidades lake and at the same time enjoy the tranquility of the water. Renting a stand up paddle in Sete Cidades is a good opportunity for those who always wanted to experiment this activity because there are no or very small waves, making it much easier than in big lakes or in the sea. Once you get the hang of it, you can even try some yoga poses!

How to go to Sete Cidades? +

The best way is to rent a car and go by yourself. However, we can offer a transfer from and to Ponta Delgada. Also, there are some buses from Ponta Delgada. More information in the tourist office.

Is Sete Cidades a good place for Kayaking & SUP? +

Sete Cidades Lake is a beautiful location to paddle, in addition to being an easy place to start due to the small or no waves at all.

Are the kayaks stable? Can I fall into the water? +

Our Sit-on-top kayaks are stable and easy to use. They can tip over if you move really brusquely, but if you are careful, it will not happen. Our staff will explain everything about how to navigate with the kayak before you go to the lake.

Do I have to wear the life jacket even if I know how to swim? +

Yes, life jackets are mandatory for everyone for safety reasons.

Cancellation +

Cancellations up to 48 hours before the tour, no penalties are applied
Cancellations up to 24 hours: 50% of the total amount will be charged
Cancellations less than 24 hours or no-show: full amount will be charged
If the weather conditions do not allow the activity to be done safely, we will cancel it and contact you suggesting an alternative date or provide a full refund.
