In a delightful and educational double-header, Futurismo Azores Adventures hosted two engaging sessions on November 11th at Colégio de Santa Clara, catering to the curiosity of the littlest learners. The first session, with a group of 20 three-year-olds, and the second session, featuring 21 four-year-olds, were part of the ongoing partnership initiated in 2022 with Colégio de Santa Clara.
Under the overarching theme of “RESPECT. PROTECT. SHARE.,” Futurismo Azores Adventures embarked on this collaboration to instill awareness and protection of Azorean biodiversity among the youngest members of the community. Leveraging data-driven insights from responsible whale-watching tours, these sessions aimed to foster a deep connection to nature and the marine environment.
Aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4, 10, 13, 14, and 15, this initiative empowers young learners, fostering their motivation to pursue higher education, expanding their prospects for meaningful employment, and enabling them to contribute meaningfully to their families and communities.
The sessions covered topics on Azores’ biodiversity and recycling, creating a dynamic learning environment that not only educates but also sparks curiosity and a sense of responsibility. As Futurismo Azores Adventures continues to engage with local schools, this collaboration exemplifies the commitment to building a sustainable and environmentally conscious foundation for the next generation.
